Comment RSSYou can reduce Carbon Footprint, Carbon Footprint is amount of Greenhouse Gas emitted by buring fossil fules like Petrol, Diesel, Kersosene, Wood, etc. Greenhouse Gas also includes Carbon Dioxide.
We can reduce the amount of CO2 that is emitted in the environment by take the following simple steps:
1. Avoid using cars and bikes for small distances
2. There is no need to warm up your engine during start up. You could just drive the car or bike as well.
3. Try to avoid sudden acceleration, engine revving, and sudden braking as this might use 34% more fuel.
4. Avoid using air conditioning as this will save gas.
5. Buy a Carbon Efficient Car

What if I like my carbon
Fri, 01/16/2009 - 21:05 — Green User (not verified)What if I like my carbon footprint? Do I still have to do these things?
I've worked very hard to get my carbon footprint to a respectable level and now you just want me throw all that hard work away?
I don't think so good sir!
Good day.... I said GOOD DAY!

Mon, 03/23/2009 - 15:59 — AnonymousThe point is to REDUCE your carbon footprint. Reducing your contribution of carbons into the atmosphere is healthier for the environment and people and lends to environmental sustainability if EVERYONE would adhere to simple, low cost measures. It doesn't involve hard work or waste if you can THINK before you ACT. Simple.

Fri, 09/04/2009 - 11:39 — Anonymous95% of greenhouse gasses are water vapour of which 99.999% is natural.
Anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 contributions cause only about 0.117% of Earth's greenhouse effect if water vapour is taken into account.
Adding up all anthropogenic greenhouse sources, the total human contribution to the greenhouse effect is around 0.28%.
The Kyoto Protocol calls for mandatory carbon dioxide reductions of 30% from developed countries like the U.S.
Such drastic measures, even if imposed equally on all countries around the world, would reduce total human greenhouse contributions from CO2 by about 0.035%.
This is much less than the natural variability of Earth's climate system!
There is no dispute at all about the fact that even if punctiliously observed, (the Kyoto Protocol) would have an imperceptible effect on future temperatures -- one-twentieth of a degree by 2050. "

If the whole of the UK reduced its carbon footprint to 0 the effect on the atmosphere would be so small as to be insignificant so Ill carry on driving my 4x4 cos I like it and I can.
